먼저 반가운 사진을 몇 장 보여드리겠습니다. (사진1,2,3) 지난 주간 산호세에서 열렸던 총회 운영위원회에 참석했습니다. 회의가 계속 되기 때문에 그곳으로 이사 간 유복 집사님 가족과 현민 집사님 가족을 만날 시간을 만들 수 있을까.... 확신이 들지 않았습니다. First, I'll show you some nice pictures. I attended the General
Assembly Committee held in San Jose last week. I was not sure if I could make
time to meet Yu family who moved over there several years ago. 그런데 화요일 점심 식사를 하러 다 같이 중식당에 갔다가 그곳에서 “어머, 목사님....!” 하는 한 사람을 만났습니다. 한나가 마침 그 식당에서 일을 하고 있었습니다. 그리고 화요일 저녁에 다 같이 모였습니다. 참 반갑고 좋았습니다. 그날은 간단하게 차 한 잔만 할 수 있는 시간 밖에 없었는데, 송경범 선생님이 같이 밥을 먹고 가지 않으면 인연을 끊겠다고 말씀하시는 바람에 다음날 저녁 식사로 같이 모였습니다. 안타깝게 현민 집사님은 급한 회의가 열려서 못오시게 되고, 이렇게만 사진을 찍었습니다. 보시는 것처럼 건강하게 행복하게 잘 살고 있습니다. However, I went to a Chinese restaurant for
lunch on Tuesday and then I heard someone speak to me, "Oh, pastor
....!" Hannah was working at the restaurant. And then we met together on
Tuesday evening. It was very nice and pleasing. That day I only had a short time to have a cup
of tea, but when Song Kyung-bum said that he would cut off his ties with me if
he did not eat together, I had to get together for dinner the next day.
Unfortunately, another family wasn’t able to make it due to an urgent meeting.
As you can see, they are living well and happy. 송선생님 여전하시지만 이제는 많이 연세도 드셨고, 또 정리도 좀 된 것 같습니다. 성도들에게 꼭 안부를 전해달라는 말씀을 계속 하셨고, 심지어 제가 오는 날 전화를 따로 주셔서 여러 성도들의 이름은 언급하면서 꼭 인사를 전해달라는 부탁을 하셨습니다. 유복집사님은 친정 오빠를 만난 기분이라고 눈물을 글썽이셨고, 한나와 용이와 용호는 저렇게 늠름한 청년이 되었습니다. 필라를 떠날 때는 애들이었는데, 이제 셋 다 일을 하고 돈을 번다면서 식사를 할 때마다 애들이 계산을 했습니다. 여러분들 모두에 대해서 안부를 묻고 대답하면서 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 약간은 피곤한 모습의 현민 집사님도 그곳에서 잘 정착했습니다. Mr.Song is still well, but now he looks much
older and settled down in California. He
continued to ask about everyone here and even on the day I come back, he called
me and told me to deliver well wishes from him to everyone. His wife was in tears when I met her sons and
daughter, Hannah. They were just kids
when they moved but now they all have jobs and making living well. “우리는 모두 잘 있습니다....”라는 소식을 전할 수 있어서 참 좋았습니다. 그리고 우리 교회 성도들의 소식을 전하면서 기도를 부탁했습니다. 그러고 보면 모두 잘 있어서 좋고, 때로 아프고 슬픈 일이 있어서 안좋은 것이 아니라... 이런 소식을 전하고 마음을 나눌 수 있는 믿음의 형제들과 함께 살아가는 일이 참 좋은 것 같습니다. 즐겁고 복된 만남이었습니다. It was great to be able to tell them "We
are all good here...." And I asked them to pray for us. I think that it is
good to live with spiritual brothers who can share this kind of news and share each
other’s minds. It was an enjoyable and
blessed encounter.

People who will leave me I can’t figure it out with my small wisdom Many times of failure and anguish People who will leave me I can’t figure it out with my small wisdom Many times of failure and anguish Many times of failure and anguish 가사가 좋아서 전체를 옮겨봤습니다. 조용필이 부른 ‘바람의 노래’입니다. 세상을 살면서 경험하는 일들의 모든 이유와 모든 끝을 알 수 없지만 내가 아는 것은 살아가는 일, 사랑하는 일 밖에 없다는 것을 알게 되었고, 그렇게 살겠다는 다짐입니다. 20세가 되기 전에 가수라는 삶을 시작해서 이제 50년, 반세기를 무대 위에서 보낸 한 가객(歌客)의 담담한 고백으로 들려왔습니다. 가사에 공감이 많이 되는 것을 보면 저 또한 나이 들어간다는 것이고, 미래에 대한 꿈과 비전보다는 허락된 환경과 관계에 대한 감사가 더 많아지고 있다는 것을 의미하는 것 같습니다.
I liked the lyrics so I copied the whole
song. The song is titled “Song of the Wind”
by Cho Yong-pil. I do not know all the reasons and all the ends of the things which
I live and experience, but what I know is that I have nothing but live and love,
and I promise to live that way. Before he turned 20, he began to live as a singer and
now this song seemed to be his confession.
I feel that I am getting older as well, and it
means that I am grateful for the environment and relationship I have been
granted, rather than dreams and visions for the future. 그런데 조용필은 이 노래의 제목을 왜 ‘바람의 노래’라고 했을까요? 수많은 사람의 사랑과 찬사를 받고 살아온 가수 조용필... 그는 자신의 인생을 마치 바람과 같다고 느낀 것 같습니다. 그래서 ‘바람의 노래’, ‘바람이 부르는 노래’, ‘바람처럼 부르는 노래....’를 만든 것 같습니다. ‘바람 같은 인생이 이슬 젖은 풀잎을 스치면서 부르는 물기 젖은 노래’라는 생각을 했습니다. But why did Cho say the title of this song 'Wind
Song'? A singer who has lived and received many people's love and praise ...
Cho seems to have felt that his life is like a wind. So that’s why he made such songs. 2. 전도자의 노래 그런데 조용필보다 수천 년 전에 이미 ‘바람의 노래’를 쓴 사람이 있습니다. 그때는 아마도 곡을 붙였을텐데, 지금 곡은 없습니다. 가사를 소개하면 이렇습니다.

전도자가 고민합니다. 어쩌면 그는 지금 자신이 지은 화려한 궁전의 한 뜨락에 앉아 있는지 모릅니다. 햇볕이 들었다가 천천히 그늘이 움직입니다. 어디선가 불어온 바람에 꽃잎 하나가 호선을 그리며 떨어집니다. 전도자가 생각합니다. ‘그래... 모든 것은 움직이는 거지... 흐르는 거지.... 한 세대가 가고 또 다른 세대가 오고, 해는 떴다가 지고, 바람이 부는거지.... 강물이 흐르는 거지....’ 이 세상의 모든 부와 명예와 쾌락을 즐겼던 전도자는 자신이 누렸고 소유한 모든 것들이 다 바람처럼 흩어지고 사라진다는 사실을 인정하지 않을 수 없습니다. 그래서 그는 탄식하면서 고백합니다. “참 헛된거야... 인생... 참 헛된거야...” He is worried. Maybe he is sitting in a gorgeous
palace of his own now. The sun shines slowly and the shade moves. Somewhere in
the wind, one petal drops. He thinks 'Yeah ... everything is moving ... it's
flowing ... there's a generation going, another generation coming, the sun's
going out, the wind is blowing ... the river is flowing .... 'He enjoyed all
the wealth, honor and pleasure of the world can not but admit that everything
he has enjoyed and owned is scattered and vanished like the wind. So he groans
and confesses. "It's meaningless ... life ... it's so vain ..." 3. 두 노래의 차이 조용필이 부르는 바람의 노래, 솔로몬이 남긴 바람의 노래.... 같은 점은 제가 이미 말씀을 드렸습니다. 그렇다면 이 두 노래의 차이점은 무엇일까요? I told you already about the similarity between
the song of the wind Cho-yong-pil and the song of Solomon left the wind. So what's the difference between these two
songs? 조용필이 부른 바람의 노래는 일단 좋습니다. 위로가 되고, 그렇게 사랑하며 살아야겠다... 고개가 끄덕여지기도 합니다. 그런데 왠지 뒷맛이 씁쓸합니다. 이 노래의 결론은 두 가지입니다. 첫째는 “나의 작은 지혜로는 알 수가 없네 내가 아는 건 살아가는 방법뿐이야”라는 가사입니다. 나는 세상의 이치를 잘 모르겠습니다. 내가 알 수 있는 것은 살아가는 방법뿐입니다. 어떻게 살까...? 어디서 왔다가 어디로 가는지 모르는 바람 같은 인생... 그저 주어진 삶을 사랑하고 함께 사는 사람들을 사랑하면서 사는 것이 좋겠네... 그게 제일 좋겠네....라는 것이 이 노래의 결론입니다. 나쁘지 않고 틀리지 않지만.... 그렇다고 그대로 받아들이기에는 너무 허무합니다. 사랑하며 살겠다는 결론은 어쩔 수 없는 선택일 뿐입니다. The song of the wind by Cho Yong-pil is good. It’s
comforting, makes me wish to live with love, ... My head nods too. But somehow
the aftertaste is bitter. The conclusion of this song is twofold. The first is,
"My little wisdom can not tell. All I know is the way to live." I do
not know the truth of the world. All I can tell is how to live. How do I buy
...? I do not know where to come and where I am going to be like a wind ... I
just love to live a life and love to live with those who live together ... that's
the best thing .... This is the conclusion of the song. It is not bad and wrong
... but it is too naive to accept it as it is. The conclusion that you will
live in love is only an inevitable choice. 지혜자의 결론은 이것과는 다릅니다. 그는 뜨고 지는 해와 흐르는 강물을 통해서 세월을 보고, 보이지 않지만 오고가는 바람을 통해서 인생을 봅니다. 그런데 그가 주목하는 것은 ‘흐름’ 자체가 아닙니다. 그가 주목하는 것은 해가 뜨고 지는 곳, 바람이 돌아가는 곳, 그리고 강물이 모이는 곳입니다. 지혜자는 바람이 그저 흐르고... 시간이 그저 흐르고... 인생이 그저 지나가는 것이 아니라...고 말합니다. 그 모든 것은 ‘돌아가는 곳’이 있습니다. 전도서의 바람의 노래와 조용필의 노래의 차이는 바로 여기에 있습니다. 조용필의 노래가 “나는 인생이 뭔지 도저히 모르겠네... 열심히 사람을 사랑하면서 살다보면 나도 바람처럼 사라지겠네...”라는 절망 끝에 만나는 탄식이라면, 전도서의 기자는 눈과 마음을 집중해서 보고 있습니다. 해와 바람과 강물이 ‘돌아가는 곳’이 있습니다. 바람처럼 지나가는 인생이 돌아가는 품이 있습니다.
The wise man's conclusion is different from
this. He sees the years through the rising sun and the flowing river, and sees
life through the invisible wind. But what he is paying attention to is not
'flow' itself. What he notices is where the sun goes down, where the wind
blows, and where the river meets. The wise man says that the wind just flows
... time just flows ... not life just passes. All of them have a place to go.
It is here are the differences. Cho Yong-pil's song is "I do not know what
life is like ... If I live in love, I will disappear like a wind ..." But
in the bible, he focuses his eyes and
heart. There is a place where the sun, wind and river turn. Even the wind has place to go. 전도서의 기자는 자신이 얻은 결론을 아들과 백성에게 전합니다. 해도, 바람도, 강물도 돌아가는 곳이 있고 인생도 그렇습니다. 모든 인생은 하나님께로 돌아갈 것입니다. 삶의 영광은 뜨고 지는 태양과도 같고, 모든 욕망은 부는 바람과 같고, 모든 눈물도 흐르는 강물과 같습니다. 다만 하나님은 모든 사람과 함께 하시며 그 모든 것을 기억하십니다. The writer of Ecclesiastes conveys his
conclusions to his son and his people. There are places like sea, wind, river,
and life. All life will return to God. The glory of life is like the rising
sun, All desire is like the blowing wind, Every tear is like a flowing river.
But God is with all men and he remembers them all.
그래서 전도서 3장 15절에서는 “이제 있는 것이 옛적에 있었고 장래에 있을 것도 옛적에 있었나니 하나님은 이미 지난 것을 다시 찾으시느니라”(전 3:15)라고 고백합니다. 하나님께로 돌아가는 것이 인생입니다. 그러므로 전도서의 결론이 무엇입니까? In the bible verse Ecclesiastes 3:15, “Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been
before; and God will call the past to account.” Going back to God is the
life. So what is the conclusion? “일의 결국을 다 들었으니 하나님을 경외하고 그의 명령들을 지킬지어다 이것이 모든 사람의 본분이니라 하나님은 모든 행위와 모든 은밀한 일을 선악 간에 심판하시리라”(전 12:13-14)입니다.
Now all has been heard;
조용필의 바람의 노래의 결론이 어쩔 수 없는 선택이라면 전도서의 바람의 노래의 결론은 전혀 다릅니다. 성도와 교회는 서로 사랑하며 살아야 합니다. 서로 섬기며 살아야 합니다. 서로 겸손해야 합니다. 서로 희생해야 합니다. 왜냐하면 그것이 우리를 지으신 하나님의 뜻이요, 교회와 성도의 본분이기 때문입니다. 이 뜻을 어기는 인생은 하나님의 판단 앞에 설 것입니다. 조용필의 바람의 노래는 절망 앞에 선 인생의 어쩔 수 없는 선택이라면 지혜자의 바람의 노래는 우리를 창조하시고 구원하시는 하나님의 뜻에 순종하는 성도와 교회의 신앙의 고백이자 결단입니다. 우리는 그렇게 하나님 앞에 설 것이요, 겸손하게 순종하는 삶을 살아야 합니다. If the conclusion of Cho's song is an inevitable
choice, the conclusion of the song of the wind from the Bible is quite
different. We must live in love with one another. We must serve each other. We
must humble each other. We have to sacrifice each other. Because it is the will
of God who made us. Life that breaks this will stand before God's judgment. If
Cho 's wind song is an inevitable choice of life in front of despair, the song
of the wind of wisdom is a confession and decision of faith in the believers
and churches who obey God' s will to create and save us. We must stand before
God and live a life of humble obedience.
4. 교회가 부르는 노래 그렇다면 전도서의 사람의 노래와 오늘 우리가 읽은 본문은 어떤 관련이 있습니까? 로마서는 사도 바울이 아직 로마에서 복음을 전하기 전에, 제 3차 전도여행 중에 고린도에 있을 때 기록한 편지입니다. 당시 로마에는 교회가 형성되고 있었지만 아직 사도들의 가르침을 받기 전이었기 때문에 많은 신학적인 문제를 안고 있었습니다. 특히 유대주의자들이 로마로 가서 이제 시작한 교회를 어지럽게 했습니다. 바울은 1-11장에서 복음이 무엇인지 교리적으로 설명하고, 12-15장까지 그 복음을 어떻게 삶에 적용할 것인지 가르칩니다. 그리고 오늘 우리가 읽은 16장은 로마에 있는 성도와 교회를 아시아 각 지역에 있는 교회들과 서로 연결하여 아주 세밀하게 안부를 전합니다. 저는 어쩌면 로마서의 핵심이 16장에 있을 수도 있다는 생각을 했습니다. So how does the Ecclesiastical song relate to
the text we read today? Romans is the letter of the Apostle Paul when he was in
Corinth during his third evangelistic trip before he preached the gospel in
Rome. At that time in Rome there was a church, but still had many theological
problems because it was before the apostles were taught. Especially the
Judaists went to Rome and disturbed the church which just started. In chapter
1-11, Paul explains what the gospel is doctrinally and teaches how to apply the
gospel to life in chapters 12-15. And today, we read Chapter 16, sharing the
churches in Rome with the churches in each region of Asia and sharing them very
closely. I thought maybe the core of Romans might be in chapter 16. 16장에서 가장 많이 등장하는 단어는 ‘문안’이라는 말입니다. 서로 인사를 전하고 안부를 묻는다는 말입니다. 바울이 소개하고 인사를 전하는 사람들을 보시기 바랍니다. 아마도 로마 교회가 잘 아는 사람들은 이름만을, 잘모르는 사람들은 간략한 소개를 하는 것 같습니다. 예를 들어 1-2절의 겐그레아 교회의 일꾼으로 있는 자매 뵈뵈를 로마 교회에 추천합니다. 그는 여러 사람과 바울의 보호자가 되었습니다. In chapter 16, the most common word is 'greetings'.
They communicate greetings and ask for their regards. Please look at those who
Paul introduced and greeted. Perhaps the people who know the Roman church well
know the name only, and those who do not know are briefly introduced. For
example, I recommend the sister Phoebe, who is a worker of the Genghis Church
in 1-2, to the Roman Church. He became the protector of Paul and many others.
3-4절에서 소개되는 브리스가와 아굴라는 편지를 쓸 당시에는 에베소교회에 있다가 곧 로마 교회로 파송되는 부부입니다. 이들은 바울을 위해서 자신들의 생명까지도 내놓은 사람들입니다. 그들과 함께 교회를 섬기는 에배네도는 에베소에서 브리스가와 아굴라의 교회에 출석하면서 복음의 열매가 된 사람입니다. 6절에서 마리아는 로마 교회를 위해 수고한 사람입니다. Prisca and Aquila, introduced in verses 3-4, are
a couple who were in the church at Ephesus and then sent to the Roman church at
the time of writing. These are the people who even put their lives for Paul.
Ebeneudo, who serves the church with them, is the fruit of the gospel as he
attends the churches of Prisca and Aquila in Ephesus. In verse 6, Mary is a
person who labored for the Roman church.
7절에서 안드로니고와 유니아는 일찍 예수를 믿어서 많은 사도들에게 사랑을 받았던 사람입니다. 그 외에 암블리아와 우르바노와 스다구와 아벨레와 아리스도불로의 가족들과 헤로디온과 나깃수의 가족들과 드루배나와 드루보사와 버시와 루포와 그의 어머니, 아순그리도, 블레곤, 허메, 바드로바, 허마, 빌롤로고, 올름바.... 디모데와 누기오와 야손과 소시바더와 더디오와 가이오와 에라스도와 구아도.... 바울은 복음으로 살고 함께 헌신하는 많은 사람들에게 또한 복음을 전하는 일에 순종하는 많은 사람들의 소식을 전하고 있습니다. 교리를 가르치고 적용하기를 원하는 로마서에서 왜 이렇게 많은 사람들의 소식을 자세하게 전하는 것일까요? In verse 7, Andonigo and Unia were early
believers in Jesus and were loved by many apostles. In addition to Amblebia,
Urbano, and Stadu, and Abelah, and Aristobulus, and the families of Herodion
and Narcissus, and Drubana, Drubosah, Bersi, and Rufo, and his mother, ,
Bartholomew, Hershey, Billyrogo, Olmumba ... Timothy, Nujio, Jason, Soshibader,
Didi, Gaius, Erasud, Gua .... We are hearing many people obedient to the work
of preaching the gospel. Why in the Romans who want to teach and apply doctrine
to convey the news of so many people? 이 사람들이 로마서, 즉 복음을 교리적으로 설명하고 적용하는 로마서의 증거들이기 때문입니다. 복음을 믿고 복음으로 살면 이 사람들처럼 됩니다. 서로를 그리워하며 서로에게 안부를 전하는 이 사람들.... 서로를 위해 수고하고 헌신하고 생명까지도 내주는 이 사람들.... 복음이 있는 곳이면 삶이 함께 따라가고, 십자가가 있는 곳에 삶으로 헌신하는 이 사람들.... 그의 어머니가 나의 어머니가 되고, 그의 형제가 나의 형제가 되는 이 사람들.... 이들이 복음의 증거입니다. This is because they are the proofs of the Romans, which
doctrinally explain and apply the gospel. If you believe in the Gospel and live
the Gospel, you will be like these people. These people who miss each other and
give their respects to each other .... These people who labored and devoted
themselves to each other and gave life to them .... Wherever the gospel is,
life goes along with it, and wherever there is a cross, These people .... These
people whose mother is my mother and whose brother is my brother .... These are
proofs of the gospel.
바울은 로마서 16장을 통해서 로마교회에게, 그리고 우리들에게 큰 목소리로 자랑합니다. 복음으로 살아가는 사람들이 교회이며 그 사람들이 복음입니다. 그들이 서로 안부를 전하고 그리고 2000년을 넘어서 오늘 여러분과 제게 안부를 전합니다. 어려운 시대, 산과 골짜기를 지나고 뜨거운 광야를 지나는 바람같은 인생을 사는 초대교회 성도들에게 복음으로 사는 성도들의 삶으로 안부를 전합니다. 우리 인생이 바람처럼 살다가 그저 사라지는 것이 아니라, 그 바람이 교회와 역사의 모퉁이를 돌아서 결국 하나님 앞으로 돌아갈 것이기 때문에.... 하나님 앞에서 만나게 될 그들의 삶의 복음으로 안부를 전하는 것입니다. Paul boasts in Romans 16 with a loud voice to
the Roman Church and to us. Those who live by the gospel are the church, and
they are the gospel. They say hello to each other, and after 2000 years later,
say hello to you and me today. Our lives live like winds and not just
disappear, but because the wind will turn around the corner of church and
history and eventually go back to God .... We are thankful for the gospel of
our lives to meet before God.
이번 여행에서 함께 교회를 섬겼던 유복집사님 가정과 현민 집사님 가정을 만나고 문안할 수 있어서 참 좋았습니다. 그들의 인사를 여러분에게 전해서 참 좋습니다. 그리고 오늘 초대교회 성도들의 문안을 로마서를 통해서 전해서 참 좋습니다. 복음의 증거를 삶으로 전하고 만날 수 있어서 참 좋습니다. 사람이 복음이고 사람이 교회임을 확인하고 문안해서 참 좋습니다. 여러분과 제가 복음의 증거가 되어야 하고, 우리의 삶이 복음이 되어야 하겠습니다. 로마교회와 초대교회가 우리에게 문안하는 것처럼 우리 또한 우리의 후손들에게 복음의 문안을 계속할 수 있는 교회가 되기를 소망합니다. 흩어진 성도들에게 복음의 소식들을 계속 전할 수 있는 교회가 되기를 소망합니다. 지역사회에 복음으로 문안하는 일에 최선을 다하는 교회가 될 수 있기를 소망합니다. 바람처럼 지나는 인생에 하나님의 인도하심이 함께 하고, 강물처럼 흐르는 인생들이 하나님 앞에 모여 함께 예배하는 날들을 소망합니다. It was great to meet the family who served the church together on this trip. It is very good to tell them their greetings. And today, it was great to express the greetings of the early church members through Romans. It is good to be able to communicate the proof of the gospel. It is good to see that people are gospel and people are churches. You and I should be the evidence of the gospel, and our lives should be the gospel. As the Roman Church and the Early Church salute us, we also hope to be a church that will continue to serve the gospel of our descendants. I hope to be a church that can continue to spread the gospel news to the scattered people. I hope to be a church that does its best to greet the community with the Gospel. I hope that God will lead me to life like a wind, and that the life that flows like a river which will gather before God and worship together. |
