* 제 목 : 선교적 교회 - 36. 성도 보통씨가 받은 사랑

 

2주 전에 ‘성도 보통씨의 성찬’이라는 제목으로 말씀을 나누었습니다. 성도 보통씨를 비롯해서 목사 보통씨인 저까지도 오해하고 있었던 고린도전서 12장 27-29절의 말씀

Two weeks ago, I shared the message with the title of "Normal Christian’s communion”. I and others have misunderstood the passage in 1 Corinthians 12: 27-29

 “그러므로 누구든지 주의 떡이나 잔을 합당하지 않게 먹고 마시는 자는 주의 몸과 피에 대하여 죄를 짓는 것이니라 사람이 자기를 살피고 그 후에야 이 떡을 먹고 이 잔을 마실지니 주의 몸을 분별하지 못하고 먹고 마시는 자는 자기의 죄를 먹고 마시는 것이니라”(고전 11:27-29)

²⁷ So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. ²⁸ Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. ²⁹ For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.

 결국 이 말씀은 개인의 영성과 도덕성에 초점이 있기보다 교회의 하나됨과 공동체성에 초점이 있었습니다.

Ultimately, it focused on the unity and community of the church, rather than focusing on individual spirituality and morality.

사도 바울은 11장에 이어서 12장에서 고린도 교회의 공동체성을 깨뜨리는 또 하나의 이유를 언급합니다. 그것은 바로 그 교회에 풍성했던 은사였습니다. 고린도 교회는 가진 것이 많은 교회였고, 각 분파마다 그들이 가진 것을 자랑했습니다. 다시 설명 드리면 베드로파는 유대의 전통을, 바울파는 선교의 경험과 영성을, 아볼로파는 지식과 학문을 자랑했습니다. 예수파는 그 모든 것이 싫어서 오직 복음만을 따르겠다는 또 하나의 파였습니다. 각자 중요하게 생각하는 것이 있고 각자 자랑하고 싶은 것이 있었습니다. 문제는 그들이 가진 그것으로 교회가 분열하고 심지어 예수 그리스도의 살과 피를 나누는 성찬의 예식마저 오염된다는데 있었습니다. 바울은 12장 마지막 절에서 이렇게 권면했습니다.

The Apostle Paul mentions another reason for breaking the Corinthian church in chapter 12, following chapter 11. It was a gift that was abundant in the early church. The Corinthian church had many churches, and each branch boasted what they had. Again, Peter was proud of Jewish tradition, Paul was proud of mission experience and spirituality, and Apollonian knowledge and scholarship. The Jesus group was another who decided to follow the Gospel only. There are things that each person thinks important and something that they want to boast. The problem was that their churches were divided and even the ceremonies of the sacrament of sharing the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ were polluted. Paul stated in the last verse of chapter 12:

 

 “너희는 더욱 큰 은사를 사모하라 내가 또한 가장 좋은 길을 너희에게 보이리라”(고전 12:31)

³¹ Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.

우리가 잘 아는 것처럼 바울은 고린도전서 13장에서 더욱 큰 은사, 가장 좋은 길을 고린도 교회에 가르칩니다. 그것은 바로 ‘사랑’입니다. 13절로 된 이 사랑이 서사시는 사람의 말로 기록된 가장 아름다운 사랑에 대한 표현입니다. 우리 다 함께 읽어봅시다.

As we know, Paul teaches in Corinthians 13 greater gifts and the best way to the Corinthian church. It is love. This love of verse 13 is the expression of the most beautiful love recorded by the epic. Let us read together.

 

“내가 사람의 방언과 천사의 말을 할지라도 사랑이 없으면 소리 나는 구리와 울리는 꽹과리가 되고 / 내가 예언하는 능력이 있어 모든 비밀과 모든 지식을 알고 또 산을 옮길 만한 모든 믿음이 있을지라도 사랑이 없으면 내가 아무 것도 아니요 / 내가 내게 있는 모든 것으로 구제하고 또 내 몸을 불사르게 내줄지라도 사랑이 없으면 내게 아무 유익이 없느니라 / 사랑은 오래 참고 사랑은 온유하며 시기하지 아니하며 사랑은 자랑하지 아니하며 교만하지 아니하며 / 무례히 행하지 아니하며 자기의 유익을 구하지 아니하며 성내지 아니하며 악한 것을 생각하지 아니하며 / 불의를 기뻐하지 아니하며 진리와 함께 기뻐하고 / 모든 것을 참으며 모든 것을 믿으며 모든 것을 바라며 모든 것을 견디느니라 / 사랑은 언제까지나 떨어지지 아니하되 예언도 폐하고 방언도 그치고 지식도 폐하리라 / 우리는 부분적으로 알고 부분적으로 예언하니 / 온전한 것이 올 때에는 부분적으로 하던 것이 폐하리라 / 내가 어렸을 때에는 말하는 것이 어린 아이와 같고 깨닫는 것이 어린 아이와 같고 생각하는 것이 어린 아이와 같다가 장성한 사람이 되어서는 어린 아이의 일을 버렸노라 / 우리가 지금은 거울로 보는 것 같이 희미하나 그 때에는 얼굴과 얼굴을 대하여 볼 것이요 지금은 내가 부분적으로 아나 그 때에는 주께서 나를 아신 것 같이 내가 온전히 알리라 / 그런즉 믿음, 소망, 사랑, 이 세 가지는 항상 있을 것인데 그 중의 제일은 사랑이라”(고전 13:1-13)

If I speak in the tongues^[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. ² If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. ³ If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,^[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

⁴ Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. ⁵ It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. ⁶ Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. ⁷ It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

⁸ Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. ⁹ For we know in part and we prophesy in part, ¹⁰ but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. ¹¹ When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. ¹² For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

¹³ And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love

 

1. 어디까지가 사랑일까?

참 아름답지 않습니까? 그런데 말입니다.... 성경이 말하는 이 사랑은 우리에게 있는, 우리가 하고 있는, 우리가 생각하는 사랑과 일치합니까? 지금 성경에서 말하는 사랑은 믿음과 관련이 있고 소망과 관련이 있습니다. 그래서 내 소원이 이루어지고 나의 능력이 극대화되고 내가 나의 의와 자랑으로 만족하게 되어도... 그것은 사랑이 아닙니다. 이 사랑은 내가 오래참고 내가 온유하고 내가 시기하거나 자랑하지 않고 교만하지도 않아야 합니다. 이 사랑은 성내지도 않고 악하지도 않습니다. 이 사랑은 불의를 싫어하고 진리를 기뻐합니다. 이 사랑은 참고 믿고 소망하고 인내합니다. 이것은 우리가 하고 있는 사랑입니까? 우리가 원하는 사랑입니까? 사실 우리가 생각하고 바라는 사랑은 대부분 우리의 필요와 만족과 관련이 있습니다. 생각해봅시다. 여러분은 언제 사랑을 느낍니까? 무엇을 사랑이라 생각하십니까? 그것은 지금 성경이 말하는 사랑과 같은 맥락일까요? 생각해보면 하나님이 우리에게 보여주고 가르치시는 사랑과 우리가 하고 있고 원하는 사랑은 다를 수 있는 것 같습니다. 우리는 어디까지를, 무엇까지를 하나님의 사랑으로 생각하고 있을까요? 어떤 것을 하나님의 사랑이 아니라고 생각할까요?

Is not it beautiful? By the way .... Is this love that the Bible says is in accord with the love that we have, what we are thinking of? Love in the Bible is related to faith and to hope. So if my wish is fulfilled, my power is maximized, and I am satisfied with my righteousness and proudness ... it is still not love. This love is long and gentle and I should not be jealous or boast or proud. This love is neither angry nor evil. This love hates injustice and delights in truth. This love is faith in hope, hope and patience. Is this the love we are seeking? Is it the love we want? In fact, most of the love we want to think about is related to our needs and satisfaction. Let's think. When do you feel love? What do you think is love? Is it the context of the Bible's love? If we think about it, it seems that the love that God shows us and teaches and the love that we want might be differeent. What do we think of the love of God? What do you think is not the God's love?

오늘 말씀의 본문 위에 있는 23절에는 이런 말씀이 있습니다. “(1) 곧 내가 그들 안에 있고 아버지께서 내 안에 계시어 그들로 온전함을 이루어 하나가 되게 하려 함은 / (2) 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것과 또 나를 사랑하심 같이 / (3) 그들도 사랑하신 것을 세상으로 알게 하려 함이로소이다”(요 17:23)

²³ I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

23절의 기도를 이해하기 쉽게 하기 위해서 세부분으로 나누었습니다. 먼저 (2)번을 보실까요? 예수님은 “아버지께서 나를 보내신 것과 또 나를 사랑하심 같이”라고 말씀하면서 하나님께서 자신을 사랑하신 일과 자신을 세상에 보내신 일을 같은 것으로 고백하고 있습니다. 창조주이자 구속주이신 자신의 아들을 사람의 세상으로 보내시는 일, 사람의 몸에서 태어나게 하시고, 사람의 젖을 먹고, 사람의 손에 자라게 하시는 일, 결국 사람에게 배반을 당하며 사람의 손에 죽임 당하게 하시는 일, 십자가에서 하늘을 등지고 고독한 죽음을 맞이하게 하는 일.... 예수님은 이렇게 세상에 자신을 하나님의 뜻 가운데 보내시는 일을 하나님의 자신을 향한 사랑이라고 말합니다. 여러분은 동의하십니까? 만일 여러분이 예수님이라면 하나님의 그 뜻을 사랑으로 받으실 수 있겠습니까? 사랑으로 느낄 수 있겠습니까? 나를 사랑한다면 나를 유익하게 하고, 나를 편안하게 하고, 나를 풍성하게 해야 하는 것 아닐까요? 하나님은 사랑하는 독생자 예수님은 가장 낮은 곳에, 가장 헐벗은 모습으로 죽임당하게 하셨습니다. 예수님은 그것을 사랑이라 고백하십니다. 그것은 내게도, 여러분에게도 사랑일까요? 

I divided the prayer in verse 23 into three parts to make it easier to understand. Do you want to see (2) first? Jesus is confessing that God loved Him and sent Himself to the world, saying that "the Father has sent me and loved me." To send His Son, the Creator and Redeemer, to the world of man, to be born of man, to feed milk, to grow in man' s hands, to be betrayed by man, To turn to the heavens on the cross and to lead to a lonely death .... Jesus says that in this world, sending Jesus in the will of God to the world is the love. Do you agree? If you are Jesus, can you accept God's will in love? Can you feel it with love? If God love me, shouldn’t God makes me good, comfort me, and enrich me? God gave His beloved Son, Jesus, to be put to the lowest and faced death. Jesus confesses it as love. Is it love for me and for you?

 

2. 잔, 피할 것인가? 마실 것인가?

예수님께서 십자가를 지시기 전에 제자들과 함께 감람산에 오르셨습니다. 제자들에게 기도를 부탁하시고 눈물과 땀과 피를 쏟으며 기도하셨다고 했습니다. 기도를 요약하면 이것입니다. “나의 뜻이 아닌 아버지의 뜻에 순종하겠습니다.” 아버지의 어떤 뜻 말입니까? 십자가입니다. 예수님은 사람으로서의 자신의 뜻과 신으로서의 하나님의 뜻을 두고 기도하고 있습니다. 그리고 고백하기를 사람의 뜻이 아닌 하나님의 뜻에 순종하겠다고 했습니다. 여기서 우리는 성경이 가진 화법의 차이를 이해해야 합니다. 예수님은 자신을 이 땅에 내려 보내신 것을 아버지의 사랑이라고 말했습니다. 그것은 하나님의 뜻입니다. 그렇다면 사람을 향하신 하나님의 뜻은 사랑입니다. 비록 그것이 고난이며 고통이라 해도... 사람의 삶에서 하나님의 뜻이 이루어지는 것이 하나님의 사랑입니다. 

He went up to Mount Olivet with his disciples before Jesus was crucified. He asked his disciples to pray and prayed with tears, sweat, and blood. This is the summary of prayer. "I will obey the will of the Father, not my will." What does the father mean? It’s The cross. Jesus is praying for His will as man and His will as God. And to confess that he will obey God's will, not the will of man. Here we must understand the differences in the scriptures that the Bible has. Jesus said that it was His love that He sent Him down to the earth. It is the will of God. Then God's will for man is love. Even if it is suffering and suffering ... It is God's love that God's will is fulfilled in human life.

 

한편 하나님이 우리에게 보여주시는 사랑과 결이 다른 사랑이 있는 것 같습니다. 그것이 사람의 뜻으로 하는 사랑입니다. 어떤 사랑입니까? 사람의 사랑은 한계가 있습니다. 용량에도 한계가 있고, 인내에도 한계가 있습니다. 사람의 사랑에는 판단이 있습니다. 사랑받을 만한 사람을 사랑하고 사랑할 가치가 없다고 판단하는 사람을 외면합니다. 사람의 사랑은 자기중심적입니다. 나와 가까이에 있고, 나를 사랑하는 사람을 사랑합니다. 사람의 사랑은 자기만족적입니다. 나를 사랑해주고 아껴주고 보호해주고 보살펴주면 그것을 사랑으로 느낍니다. 그런데 하나님의 사랑을 고백하는 예수님은 십자가 위에 버려짐을 당하고, 사람이 당하는 모든 수치와 고통을 당하고, 창조주이자 구원자이신 하나님의 아들이 사람의 무덤에 들어갑니다. 예수님은 그것을 사랑이라고 말씀합니다. 예수님에게 있어서 무엇이 사랑입니까? 위에서 말씀 드린 것처럼, 사람으로서의 내 뜻이 아닌 신으로서의 하나님 아버지의 뜻이 이루어지는 것, 하나님의 뜻이 이루어지는 삶을 살고 죽음을 준비할 수 있도록 허락하시는 것이 하나님의 사랑입니다. 예수님은 그래서 그 고난의 잔이 아닌 사랑의 잔을 마십니다. 하나님의 뜻이 온전히 성취됩니다. 

On the other hand, there seems to be a love that is different from the love that God shows us. It is the love that man makes. What kind of love? The love of a person is limited. Capacity is limited and patience is limited. There is judgment in love of man. People ignore someone who they don’t think they deserve love and they love who they think they deserve to love. Man's love is self-centered. I love someone who is close to me and loves me. Man's love is self-satisfied. If someone loves, cares, protects for me then I take it as love. However, Jesus, who confesses the love of God, is thrown down on the cross, and all the shame and suffering suffered by man, and the Son of God, the Creator and Savior, enter man's grave. Jesus says it is love. What is love for Jesus? As I said above, it is God's love that allows God the Father's will to be fulfilled and not my will as human beings. Jesus drinks the cup of love, not the cup of suffering. God's will is fully fulfilled.

3. 그들도 사랑하시다.

다시 본문에서 예수님의 기도를 보시겠습니까? 이번에는 (1)번을 봅시다.

“(1) 곧 내가 그들 안에 있고 아버지께서 내 안에 계시어 그들로 온전함을 이루어 하나가 되게 하려 함은 / (2) 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것과 또 나를 사랑하심 같이 / (3) 그들도 사랑하신 것을 세상으로 알게 하려 함이로소이다”(요 17:23)

예수님은 먼저 “내가 그들 안에 있고, 아버지께서 내 안에 계신다”고 고백했습니다. 그리고 그렇다면 그들 안에 누가 있는 것입니까? 그들 안에 하나님 아버지가 계신 것입니다. 예수님은 자신과 하나님 아버지가 그 뜻으로 하나가 된 것 같이 제자들과 교회 또한 하나님의 뜻으로 하나가 될 것을 기도합니다. 하나님의 뜻으로 하나가 된다... 무슨 의미입니까? 예수님이 기도를 이어가십니다. 조금 전에 우리가 생각한 말씀입니다. 하나님의 뜻은 예수님을 세상에 보내시는 것이었고, 십자가를 지시는 일인데... 예수님은 그것을 자신을 향한 하나님의 사랑이라고 고백했습니다.

Jesus first confessed, "I am in them, and the Father is in me." And if so, who is in them? There is a Heavenly Father in them. Jesus prayed that the disciples and the church would also be one with God's will, just as He and Heavenly Father became one in His will. It becomes one with the will of God ... What does it mean? Jesus continues praying. This is what we thought a moment ago. God's will was to send Jesus to the world, to carry the cross ... Jesus confessed that it was God's love for Him.

 

 하나님은 예수님이 사람을 위해서 십자가를 지는 일을 그 뜻으로 세우시고, 그 뜻에 순종하는 아들을 막지 않으셨습니다. 아들 예수는 이것을 사랑이라고 말합니다. 반복해서 말씀드립니다. 하늘의 하나님의 뜻이 이 땅에서의 사람의 삶에서 이루어지는 것이 사랑입니다. 이제 (3)번을 보실까요? (2)번과 (3)번을 함께 읽어보실까요? “(2) 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것과 또 나를 사랑하심 같이 / (3) 그들도 사랑하신 것을 세상으로 알게 하려 함이로소이다” (3)번에서 그들도... 라는 말은 1차적으로는 제자들이요, 나아가서 교회를 말합니다. 예수님은 하나님의 뜻, 자신에게 십자가를 지우신 그 사랑이 제자들에게도, 교회에게도, 그리고 여러분의 삶에서도 이루어지기를 기도하고 있습니다. 우리를 십자가의 사랑으로 구원하신 예수님이 우리를 위해 하나님 아버지께 드린 기도입니다.

God set Jesus' will for him to crucify, and He did not stop His Son to be crucify. Jesus says this is love. I repeat. It is love that the will of God in heaven is made in the life of man on earth. Do you want to see (3) now? Would you read (2) and (3) together? "(2) As the Father sent me and loved me, / (3) so that the world may know what they also loved." (3) They are primarily disciples. , And furthermore, the church. Jesus is praying that the will of God, the love that he has set for himself, will be fulfilled in his disciples, in the church, and in your life. Jesus, who saved us with the love by dying on the cross, is Jesus’ prayer to our Heavenly Father for us.

 

자신을 사랑하신 아버지의 사랑이 제자들과 교회에도 충만히 이뤄지기를 기도하고 있습니다. 여러분은 이 기도가 우리 교회와 여러분의 삶에서 이루어지기를 원하십니까? 마음으로, 진심으로 원하십니까? 하나님이 우리를 예수님처럼 사랑하신 것을 세상이 알 수 있기를 원하십니까? 예수님은 자신이 하나님의 사랑을 받고 있다는 사실을 무엇으로 고백하셨습니까? 십자가입니다. 우리가 하나님의 사랑을 받고 있는 증거는.... 우리가 세상의 삶의 방식이 아닌 하나님 나라의 삶의 방식을 선택하며 산다는 것이고, 세상의 가치가 아닌 하나님 나라의 가치로 산다는 것이고, 세상의 질서가 아닌 하나님 나라의 질서로 산다는 것이고.... 그리고 세상이 자신의 이름으로 잔을 채울 때.... 우리는 하나님이 우리에게 부으시는 생명과 순종의 잔으로 우리의 삶을 채운다는 것을 말합니다. 비로소 세상이 우리 안에 있는 하나님을 우리의 선택과 삶을 통해서 만나게 될 것입니다. 하나님의 뜻이 내 삶에서 이루어지는 놀라운 기적... 우리가 신의 선택에 동참할 수 있는 은혜.... 세상이 신에게 십자가를 강요할 때 우리는 신과 함께 십자가를 지는 삶에 동참하는 영광.... 예수님은 하나님의 사랑이 우리에게 이루어지기를, 그래서 예수님과 같은 삶을 우리가 살아가기를 기도하고 있습니다. 

He pray that the love of the Father will be fully fulfilled in the disciples and in the church. Do you want this prayer to be done in our church and in your life? With heart, do you really want it? Do you want the world to know that God loved us as Jesus? What did Jesus confess that he was being loved by God? The cross. The evidence that we are loved by God is that we live by choosing the way of life of the kingdom, not the way of life of the world, but by the value of the kingdom of God, not the value of the world, but in the order of the kingdom of God .... and when the world fills the cup... we fill our lives with the cup of life and obedience of God.  Then the world will meet God in us through our choices and lives. The miracle of God's will in my life ... The grace that enables us to participate in the choice of God .... When the world forces the cross to God, we are glorified to join in the life of crossing with God. ... Jesus is praying that God's love will be done to us, so that we can live a life like Jesus.

 

 

4. 사랑을 그대 품 안에

여러분! 다시 묻습니다. 요한복음 17장은 예수님이 십자가를 지시기 전에 자신을 위해, 제자들을 위해, 그리고 교회를 위해 하나님과 교통하신 기도입니다. 이 기도를 요약하면 “아버지께서 내 안에, 내가 아버지 안에”입니다. “내가 저희 안에, 아버지께서 내 안에”이기도 합니다. 그러므로 “아버지께서 저희 안에”가 성립됩니다. 결국 “하나님의 사랑이 우리 안에...”라는 말로 요약될 수 있습니다. 참 좋지 않습니까? 영광되지 않습니까? 창조자이시고 구원자잇힌 하나님의 사랑이 내 안에 있습니다. 우리의 관계 속에 허락되었습니다. 나로서는 할 수 없는 일들이, 참을 수 없는 일들이, 감당할 수 없는 일들이, 인내할 수 없는 일들이... 내 안에 있는 ‘모든 것을 참으며 모든 것을 믿으며 모든 것을 바라며 모든 것을 견디는 하나님의 사랑’으로 넉넉히 승리할 수 있습니다. 하나님은 이 사랑을 나에게, 우리의 관계 속에 허락하셨습니다. 예수님은 우리에게 그 사랑이 이루어지기를 기도했고, 사도 바울은 고린도 교회.... 다른 복음에 유혹받고 자기 영광만을 생각하며 분열했던 교회와 성도들에게 이 사랑을 회복할 것을 권면하고 있습니다. 

Everyone! I am asking again. John 17 is a prayer in which Jesus communicated with God for himself, for His disciples, and for the Church, before the crucifixion. To sum up this prayer, "the Father is in me, and I am in the Father." "I am in them, and the Father is in me." Therefore, "the Father is in them" is established. In the end, it can be summarized as "God's love is in us ..." Is this great? Isn’t this glorious? God's love is in me, creator and savior. We are allowed in our relationship. Things that I can not do, things I can not take, things that I can not afford, things that I can not tolerate ... I love God, who has everything for me, who believes in everything in me and gets all of them with God’s love. God allowed this love in our relationship. Jesus prayed that this love would be done to us, and the Apostle Paul encouraged the Church of Corinth ... to be restored to the church and people who were tempted by another gospel to find God’s love.
