* 본 문 : 빌립보서 2장 5-8절 말씀

Philippians 2: 5-8

 

 

요즘 가끔 아버지 생각이 납니다, 이제 소천하신 지 5년이 되었고, 곧 기일이 다가옵니다. 특히 큰 아들 가일이를 대학에 보내고, 생각과 삶의 성장을 지켜보면서 제가 그 나이였을 때 아버지는 어떤 마음으로 나를 보셨을까... 생각합니다. 1985년에 대학에 들어갔고, 그때 대학가에서는 날마다 시위가 있었습니다. 어느 순간부터 저 역시 그들 중에 한 사람이 되어 열심히 눈물과 땀을 함께 흘리고 있었습니다. 지금 가일이가 대학 2학년이 되었는데요, 제가 대학 2학년 가을에 처음으로 경찰에 잡혀갔습니다. 수사관 두 사람이 집 앞에서 1주일 동안 저를 기다렸다고 했습니다. 소위 국가보안법에 의해서 반정부 시위에 적극적으로 참여하고 불순한 조직에 가담했다는 혐의였습니다. 하필이면 토요일에 저를 잡아갔기 때문에 저는 평생 처음으로 주일예배를 빠지는 경험을 그 때 했습니다.

 

Nowadays, sometimes I think of my father, It's been 5 years since my father passed away. Specially when I spend time with my oldest son, Gaeil, at university and watching the growth, I am wondering what my father was thought of me around my son’s age.  I entered college in 1985, and there was a protest every day at the university. From a certain moment, I became one of them, and worked hard.  Gail is now in my second year of college, and at the same age as him, I was taken to the police for the first time. Two investigators said that they waited for me for a week in front of the house. It was alleged that I actively participated in anti-government protests under the so-called National Security Law and participated in an impure organization. It was the first time I had the experience of not going to the Sunday worship for first time in my life because I had taken on Saturday.

 

 

아버지 또한 야당기질이 강하셔서 그 때만해도 전두환 정권에 대해서 반감을 많이 가지셨던 것으로 기억합니다. 제가 대학에 들어가서 당시에 대학가에서 유행하던 사회적인 메시지가 담긴 노래를 부르고, 시위에 참석하는 것을 막지는 않으셨습니다.그 정도 하는 것은 대학에 들어가서 의식 있는 청년으로 사는데 필요하다고 생각하셨던 것 같습니다. 그런데 어느 날 아들이 사라졌습니다. 분명히 집에 들어온 것 같은데 아침에 보니.... 이부자리 흔적만 있고 아들은 사라졌습니다. 월요일에 지도 교수로부터 전화가 왔습니다. 응도가 금정 경찰서에 잡혀 있으니 가서 보호자 사인을 하고 데리고 나오라고 했습니다. 아직 대학 2학년 소위 잔챙이였기 때문에 저는 36시간 조사를 받고 보호자를 기다렸다가 월요일 오후가 되어서 경찰서를 나올 수 있었습니다.

 

My father also has strong opposition and I remember that he had a lot of resentment against the Chun Doo Hwan regime at that time. He did not stop me from going to college to sing songs with social messages that were popular in college at the time, and to attend the protests, and he thought that I should go into college and live as a socially conscious young man. However, one day I disappeared. Apparently, I came home, but in the morning ... I was disappeared. He  received a call from my advisor on Monday. I was arrested at the police station in Geumjeong. Because I was still a second grade student in college, I had been investigated for 36 hours and was released and able to leave the police station on Monday afternoon.

 

 

80년대에는 대학에 ‘지도교수’라는 것이 있었습니다. 박정희 시대와 전두환 시대를 지나면서 학생 시위가 워낙 격화되자 각 대학 교수들에게 학생들을 진정시키는 책임을 맡겼습니다. 학생들을 가르치고 연구에 집중해야 할 교수들이 학생들을 감시하고 때로 경찰들과 협력하는 일도 있었습니다. 당시에 저의 지도교수는 최** 교수라는 분이었습니다. 아주 키가 작고 통통한 체격을 가진 분이었고, 고등학교 영어 선생님을 하다가 얼마 전에 교수로 임용된 분이었습니다. 이 분은 자신이 학생들을 잘 감시하지 않으면 자신의 지위가 위험할 수 있다는 위기의식을 가진 분이었습니다. 그래서인지 자신이 지도해야 할 30명 남짓의 학생들을 적극적으로 감시하고 보고하는 일을 했었습니다. 부산의 어느 교회 안수집사님이었습니다.

 

In the '80s, there was an' advisor 'in college. As the student demonstrations soared over the Park Chung Hee era and Chun Doo Hwan era, each university professor was entrusted with the responsibility of calming students. Professors who need to teach students and concentrate on their research have been monitoring students and sometimes working with police. At that time, my advisor was Professor Choi. He was very tall and heavily physically, and he was a professor who was appointed as a professor some time ago when he was a high school English teacher. He had a sense of crisis that his status could be dangerous if he did not monitor students well. So he actively monitored and reported about 30 students who he should teach. He was an ordained deacon at a church in Busan.

 

 

제가 조사를 받고 나온 후부터 지도교수님은 저희 아버지께 전화를 걸기 시작했습니다. 학교에서 제가 한 말과 행동, 만나는 사람들을 일일이 아버지께 말씀드렸고, 학교에서는 통제가 안되니 집에서 단속하라고 권했습니다. 제가 학교에서 활동이 많아지면서 최교수님은 아버지께 응도를 학교에 못다니게 하겠다.... 아들조차 제대로 못가르치면서 어떻게 목회를 하겠는가.... 목회도 못할 수 있겠다.... 등등의 협박과 비아냥을 하기도 했습니다.

 

After I was investigated, my supervisor began to call my father. He talked to my father about the words and actions I had made at school and the people I met, and he urged me to check in at home because I couldn’t be controlled at school. As I have a lot of activities in my school, Professor Choi told my father that I should not go to school.  He also told my father that how he can be a preacher when he can’t even teach his own son. 

 

 

놀라운 것은.... 정말 성격이 대쪽같으신 아버지인데, 최교수님의 모든 협박을 묵묵히 받으신다는 것이었습니다. 아들 때문에 목회를 못할 수도 있다는 말.... 그런 비인격적인 협박을 받으면서도 최교수님께 고개를 숙이셨습니다. 그리고 말씀하셨습니다. 아들이 학교를 계속 다닐 수 있도록 도와달라고 말입니다. 어떻게 생각해보면 나면서부터 아버지의 아들로 성장했는데, 단 한번도 본 적이 없는 대단한 일이었습니다. 아버지께서 부당한 일로 억압하는 다른 사람에게 고개를 숙이시다니.... 저는 그런 생각을 했습니다. 아마도 제가 아닌 당신께서 위험에 처하는 일이라면 당당하게 맞서고 피해를 보더라도 자신의 신념을 굽히지 않으셨을 분입니다. 하지만 사랑하는 아들, 아끼는 아들, 어려서부터 목회자가 되라고 기도해온 아들이 경찰에 잡혀가고 지도교수에게 미움을 받는 현실 속에서 아버지는 고개를 숙이는 선택을 하셨습니다. 사실 저는 다소 엄하신 아버지와 살갑게 지내지 못했습니다. 하지만 아버지의 저에 대한 사랑을 의심하지 않는 것은 사랑하는 아들을 위해서 평생 지켜온 당신의 자존심마저 내려놓는 모습을 보았기 때문입니다.

 

What is surprising is that he is a father whose has temper but he received all his intimidation silently. He told my father that he might not be able to minister because of his son .... My father bowed to Choi while receiving such an impersonal threat. I grew up as a son but it was first time that I have never before. My father bowed to someone who was doing wrong. Perhaps if he was in a danger, he would stand up but since because it’s his beloved son, who had been praying to be a pastor from childhood, was caught by the police and was hated by his supervisor, the father chose to bow his head. In fact, I have not been able to live with my somewhat strict father. But I do not doubt my father 's love for me because I have seen that he put down his pride that he kept for beloved son.

 

 

1. 예수를 믿는다는 것

 

저는 요즘 끝을 생각하는 시간이 좀 많아졌습니다. 제 삶의 끝, 제 목회의 끝.... 과연 어떤 모습일까요? 끝을 생각하면서 오늘을 사는 지혜를 얻으면 좋겠다는 생각을 합니다. 제가 끝을 생각하면서 오늘을 살아야 하는 중요한 이유가 있습니다. 그 끝이 단순한 시간의 끝이 아니라, 그 끝이 예수님을 만나는 영원한 시간이기 때문입니다. 나를 지으시고 구원하셨고, 내 삶의 이유와 목적을 허락하신 예수 그리스도를 내가 이 땅에서 허락된 제 시간의 끝에 나를 만나주실 것입니다. 그 만남을 생각하면서 오늘을 살아야 합니다.

 

I have a lot of time to think about the end these days. The end of my life, the end of my ministry ... What does it look like? I think that I want to get the wisdom of living today while thinking about the end. There is an important reason to live today, when I think about the end. The end is not the end of a simple time, but the end is an eternal time to meet Jesus. Jesus Christ, who built me and saved me, and gave me reason and purpose in my life, will meet me at the end of the time allowed in this land. I have to live today thinking about the meeting.

 

 

그래서 부쩍 고민이 많아졌습니다. 성도 여러분! 우리가 짧은 인생을 살면서 예수를 믿는다는 것은 과연 어떤 의미일까요? 예수 믿는 삶을 예수 믿지 않는 삶과 어떤 차이가 있을까요? 내가 예수를 믿기 때문에.... 내 삶의 가치와 선택은 어떻게 달라졌을까요? 여러분은 예수를 믿는다는 것을 어떻게 한 마디로 정리하시겠습니까?

 

So I have a lot of worries.  What does it mean to believe in Jesus when we live a short life? What is the difference between a life that believes in Jesus and a life that does not believe in Jesus? Because I believe in Jesus .... How did my life values and choices differ? How would you organize that you believe in Jesus?

 

 

2. 믿음의 공식

 

학교 다닐 때 수학을 잘하셨던 분들 있습니까? 한 때 저는 수학이 마치 암기과목과도 같다는 생각을 한 적이 있습니다. 소위 공식이 있지 않습니까? 그 공식을 만든 사람들은 정말 인생을 바쳐서 증명해낸 것이지만 그 공식을 통해서 수학은 배우는 우리들은 일단 이해하지 못해도 잘 암기하고 문제를 풀 때 그 공식을 적용하면 되는 경우가 많았기 때문입니다. 물론 모든 공식의 과정과 이유를 다 이해하면 더 좋겠습니다만.... 공식을 잘 숙지해서 문제에 효과적으로 적용하는 것이 수학을 잘할 수 있는 방법이기도 합니다.

 

 

Are you good at mathematics at school? I once thought that mathematics is like a memorization course. Is there a so-called formula? People made the formula gave their life to make the formula but when we learn mathematics through the formula, we can memorize it well. Of course, it would be better if you understand all the procedures and reasons of all the formulas. But, knowing the formula well and applying it effectively to the problem is also a way to do good mathematics.

 

우리의 신앙에도 공식이 있습니다. 우리의 삶의 난맥상, 이해할 수 없고, 풀기 어려운 문제들에 적용하면 딱 답이 나오는 하늘에서 이 땅에 사는 우리들에게 허락하신 공식이 있습니다. 저는 이것을 ‘믿음의 공식’이라고 생각합니다. 이 공식의 핵심은 바로 예수 그리스도입니다. 믿음이란 예수를 우리의 삶에 공식처럼 적용하는 것입니다. 우리가 만나는 모든 문제에 예수를 적용하는 것, 문제 앞에서 예수를 닮는 것, 시험 앞에서 예수처럼 생각하고 예수처럼 판단하는 것, 세상의 유혹 앞에서 십자가를 등지고 하늘을 향해 매달린 예수가 되는 것 - 우리가 예수를 믿는다는 것은 바로 그런 것입니다.

 

There is also a formula in our faith. Applying to the problems of our lives, and difficult to solve, there is a formula that allows us to live in the heavenly sky. I think this is the 'formula of faith.' The essence of this formula is Jesus Christ. Faith is applying Jesus to our lives as a formula. Applying Jesus to all the problems we encounter, resembling Jesus in front of the problem, thinking like Jesus before the trials, judging like Jesus, turn away from worldly temptation.  That is what we believe in.

 

 

사도 바울은 그래서 로마의 감옥에 있으면서 빌립보 교회에 편지를 썼습니다. 감옥에 있는 사도 바울, 그가 평강에 대해서 이야기합니다. 우리가 잘 아는 말씀입니다. 4장 6-7절에 이렇게 썼습니다.

 

The apostle Paul was therefore in Rome's prison and wrote a letter to the Philippian church. Apostle Paul in prison, he talks about peace.. Ch 4: 6-7 wrote:

 

 “아무 것도 염려하지 말고 다만 모든 일에 기도와 간구로, 너희 구할 것을 감사함으로 하나님께 아뢰라 그리하면 모든 지각에 뛰어난 하나님의 평강이 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희 마음과 생각을 지키시리라”(빌 4:6-7) 

⁶ Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. ⁷ And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

 

삶의 고난을 만날 때 세상의 여러 공식들을 대입하려 하지 말고 단 하나의 공식에 집중하라는 것입니다. 하나님의 평강이 임할 것입니다. 그 공식의 이름은 무엇입니까? 하나님의 평강은 그리스도 예수 안에 있습니다.감옥에 있는 사도 바울이 능력에 대해서 말합니다. 4장 13절에서 이렇게 말합니다.

When you encounter the hardships of life, do not try to substitute the various formulas of the world but focus on one formula. God's peace will come through Jesus Christ. What is the name of the formula? God's peace is in Christ Jesus, the Apostle Paul in prison tells about power. 4:13 says this:

 

“내게 능력 주시는 자 안에서 내가 모든 것을 할 수 있느니라”(빌 4:13) 

¹³ I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

 

바울의 능력이 되시는 분 - 누구입니까? 바로 예수 그리스도입니다. 어떻게 감옥에 있는 바울이 평강을 말하고 능력을 말할 수 있을까요? 이미 바울은 1장 20-21절에서 그 비밀을 밝혔습니다.

Who is the power of Paul - who is it? It is Jesus Christ. How can Paul in prison speak peace and ability? Paul already revealed the secret in 1: 20-21.

 “나의 간절한 기대와 소망을 따라 아무 일에든지 부끄러워하지 아니하고 지금도 전과 같이 온전히 담대하여 살든지 죽든지 내 몸에서 그리스도가 존귀하게 되게 하려 하나니 이는 내게 사는 것이 그리스도니 죽는 것도 유익함이라”(빌 1:20-21) 

²⁰ I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. ²¹ For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

사도 바울은 자신의 비천한 몸에서, 보잘 것 없는 삶에 오직 예수라는 공식을 적용하기로 결정했습니다. 그랬더니 자신의 삶에 예수가 살아납니다. 사람 바울이 죽는 것이 유익하고 예수가 죽은 바울의 삶에서 살아나는 것이 유익하다는 것입니다.

The apostle Paul decided to apply the formula of Jesus only in his humble body. Then Jesus lives in his life. It is beneficial for man Paul to die and it is beneficial for Paul to rise from the Paul who died.

 

3. 그러므로... 이 마음!

 

그렇다면 우리는 어떻게 예수를 우리의 삶에 공식으로 적용할 수 있을까요? 바울은 오늘 본문에서 그 답을 주고 있습니다. 다시 본문을 봅시다. 5절입니다.

So how can we apply Jesus to our lives as a formula? Paul gives the answer in the text today. Let's look at the text again. It is verse 5.

 

“너희 안에 이 마음을 품으라 곧 그리스도 예수의 마음이니”(빌 2:5) 

⁵ In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

예수를 믿는다는 것은 예수를 우리의 삶에 적용한다는 것인데, 예수를 적용한다는 것은 예수의 마음을 품고 그 마음으로 산다는 것을 말합니다.

 

Believing in Jesus means applying Jesus to our lives. To apply Jesus means to live with the heart of Jesus.

 

예수님이 제자들을 가르치시고 능력을 주시고 갈릴리의 가까운 마을들로 파송하신 일이 있습니다. 제자들은 자신들을 통해 나타나는 일에 대해 놀랐습니다. 병자가 고침을 받고 죄인들이 회개했습니다. 사람들이 구름처럼 몰려들었습니다. 제자들은 우쭐해졌습니다. 각자 자신들이 경험했던 능력들에 대해 말하기를 원했습니다. 사람들이 자신들에게 몰려오는 것이 너무 신기하고 자랑스러웠습니다. 한 번도 주목받지 못한 인생이었는데 예수의 제자가 되었더니 놀라운 일이 생긴 것입니다. 예수님은 그들에게 사람들이 없는 한적한 곳으로 가라고 말씀하십니다. 그들에게 조용한 시간이 필요합니다. 하지만 사람들이 다시 예수님과 제자들을 쫓아옵니다. 그들에게는 희망이 필요하고 그들을 만족시킬 그 무엇인가가 필요했습니다.

 

Jesus taught His disciples and gave them power and sent them to the nearby villages of Galilee. The disciples were amazed at what was happening through them. The sick was healed and sinners repented. People flocked like clouds. The disciples were fascinated. Each wanted to talk about the abilities they had experienced. It was so strange and proud that people came to them. It was a life that had never been seen before, and when they became a disciple of Jesus, they were amazed. Jesus tells them to go to a quiet place where there are no people. They need quiet time. However, people chase Jesus and his disciples again. They needed hope and needed something to satisfy them.

 

 

예수님은 그들을 불쌍히 여기십니다. 목자를 잃은 양같이 방황하는 그들에게 연민을 느끼셨다고 했습니다. 그들을 먹이기로 결심하십니다. 하지만 제자들은 그렇지 않습니다. 그들이 귀찮습니다. 사람들의 칭찬과 영광이 주는 쾌감은 이미 맛봤습니다.이제 그들을 집으로 돌려 보냅시다.... 제자들이 한 마음이 되었습니다. 그런데 예수님은 그들에게 떡과 물고기를 나눠주십니다. 남자 성인만 오천 명, 여자와 아이를 합쳐서 수도 없이 많은 사람들이 함께 먹고 열두 광주리가 남았다고 했습니다. 예수님이 보여주고자 하시는 것은 무엇일까요? 평강과 능력입니다. 세상의 모든 결핍과 가난, 분쟁과 피로함은 예수 그리스도와 함께 있으면 평강이 되고 회복이 되며 부흥이 되고 은혜가 된다는 것을 보여주신 것입니다. 그리고 제자들에게 하나 더 가르쳐 주십니다. 예수님은 이제 곧 제자들을 떠날 것입니다. 어떻게 하면 될까요? 제자들이 예수님의 마음으로 세상을 품어야 합니다. 예수님의 마음을 품고 세상을 섬겨야 합니다. 교회가 예수님의 마음을 품고, 예수라는 믿음의 공식을 우리의 삶에 적용하고 세상을 섬겨야 합니다. 성도가 이 마음, 그리스도 예수의 마음을 품어야 합니다. 예수를 우리의 삶에 공식으로 적용해야 합니다. 비로소 내가 사는 세상이 예수 그리스도의 평강과 능력을 경험하게 될 것입니다.

 

Jesus has pity on them. He has compassion for those wandering away like sheep who lost shepherds. He decides to feed them. But the disciples are not. They are annoyed. They have already tasted the praise of the people and the pleasure of the glory. They wanted to return them home .... The disciples became one heart. But Jesus gives them bread and fish. A total of 15,000 men, women, and children combined, and only dozens of basketfuls remained. What does Jesus want to show us? Peace and ability. All the deficiencies, poverty, conflicts, and tortures of the world have shown that with Jesus Christ, there are peace, recovery, revival, and grace. And he teaches one more to his disciples. Jesus will soon leave His disciples. The disciples must live the world with Jesus' heart. We must bear the heart of Jesus and serve the world. The church must embrace the heart of Jesus, apply the formula of faith in Jesus to our lives and serve the world. We must bear this heart, the heart of Christ Jesus. We must apply Jesus to our lives as a formula. The world I live in will experience the peace and power of Jesus Christ.

 

4. 죽기까지 복종하시다.

 

아버지를 생각하면 그때 참.... 힘드셨겠다....라는 생각이 듭니다. 한번도 당신이 옳다고 생각하시는 일에 대해 타협하거나 고개를 숙이는 일이 없었던 분이신데... 아들 때문에 부당한 권력을 행사하는 교수에게 고개를 숙이시는 것을 보면서.... 그때는 잘 이해되지 않았고, 지금은 너무 이해가 됩니다. 저 역시 저의 자녀들의 문제라면 아마도... 고개만 숙이는 것이 아니라 무릎을 꿇을 수도 있을 것 같습니다. 더 낮아지라면 더 낮아질 수 있고, 더 희생하라고 해도 할 수 있습니다. 아버지가 되어서 아버지의 마음을 이해할 수 있습니다. 사랑하기 때문입니다.

 

When I think about my father, I think it would have been .... very hard. He have never compromised on what he thinks is right or have not bowed to his head ... However, he bowed to someone who o exercised his unjust power.... I did not understand well then but now I do. If I had a problem with my children, I would probably so same thing but more ... I could kneel instead of just bowing. I can understand my father's heart as a father.  It’s because of love.

 

예수님은 그 마음을 우리에게 보여주셨습니다. 사람이 보여줄 수 있는 사랑의 깊이와 비교될 수 없는 사랑을 보여주셨습니다.빌립보소 2장 6-8절에서 바울은 예수님이 주신 사랑의 깊이를 이렇게 설명합니다.

 

Jesus showed His heart to us. In Philippians 2: 6-8, Paul explains the depth of love Jesus has given us.

 

 “그는 근본 하나님의 본체시나 하나님과 동등됨을 취할 것으로 여기지 아니하시고 오히려 자기를 비워 종의 형체를 가지사 사람들과 같이 되셨고 사람의 모양으로 나타나사 자기를 낮추시고 죽기까지 복종하셨으니 곧 십자가에 죽으심이라”(빌 2:6-8)

 

Who, being in very nature^[a] God,
    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
⁷ rather, he made himself nothing
    by taking the very nature^[b] of a servant,
    being made in human likeness.
⁸ And being found in appearance as a man,
    he humbled himself
    by becoming obedient to death—
        even death on a cross!

 

 하나님이시지만 하나님의 영광을 취하지 않으시고 사람을 몸을 입고 하나님의 뜻에 순종하셨다고 했습니다. 그 순종의 끝은 어디일까요? 성경은 예수님이 하나님의 뜻에 대해 ‘죽기까지 복종하셨다’고 했습니다. 우리를 위해서 죽임 당하시기까지 복종하셨다는 것입니다. 저는 성경이 ‘복종’으로 번역한 것에 의도가 있다고 생각합니다. 순종과 복종은 다릅니다. 

 

 

He said that he did not take the glory of God, but obeyed the will of God in his body. Where is the end of that obedience? The Bible says that Jesus "submitted to death" until he died. He was obedient to death for us. I think the Bible is intended to translate it into "obedience." Submission and obedience are different.

The English Bible translates this:

 “he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!” 

 

죽음에 이르기까지 'obedient'되었다는 것입니다. obedient는 순종과 복종으로 번역해도 문제가 없습니다. 하지만 한국말로서는 의미가 다릅니다. 순종은 자신의 의지로 따르되 내면의 갈등이나 저항이 없는 상태입니다. 하지만 복종은 다릅니다. 내면의 갈등이 있고 삶의 저항이 있을 수 있습니다. 그러나 예수님은 “할 수 있다면... 이 잔을 옮기시면 좋겠습니다. 하지만 내 뜻이 아닌 하나님의 뜻에 따르겠습니다.”라고 피와 땀과 눈물을 쏟으며... 자신의 감정과 의지는 하나님의 뜻과 일치하지 않지만... 저항이 있지만.... 그 뜻에 따르기로 결정합니다. 자신의 의지를 고통스럽게 꺾고 하나님의 뜻에 따릅니다. 이것이 복종입니다. 우리 주님은 우리를 위해 죽기까지... 무덤에 내려가시기까지 복종하셨습니다. 왜 그렇습니까? 우리를 사랑하시기 때문이고, 우리가 예수님의 그 마음을 알고 믿기를 원하시기 때문이고, 주님이 다시 오시는 날까지 성도와 교회가 그 마음을 품고 그 마음을 적용하며 살기를 원하시기 때문입니다.

 

It is 'obedient' to death. Obedient can be translated into obedience and submission. But the meaning is different for Korean. Submission is followed by one's own will, without internal conflict or resistance. But obedience is different. There may be internal conflicts and resistance to life. But Jesus said, "If you can do ... I hope you move this cup. But I will follow the will of God, not my will.” His feelings and wills do not match the will of God and there is resistance ... decide to follow God. This is obedience. Our Lord was obedient until he died ... for us. Why? Because he loves us, because we want to know and believe in the heart of Jesus, and we want church to embrace their hearts until the day the Lord comes again.

 

 

우리는 예수를 어떻게 믿고 있습니까? 그 예수는 우리의 삶에, 인격에, 문제에, 위기에, 사업에, 관계에, 나의 일상의 감정과 정서에 공식처럼 적용되고 있습니까? 내가 이해되고 내가 용납하는 것이 아니라.... 하나님이 내게 선물로 주셨으므로 감사하면서 적용하고 있습니까? 믿음은 예수를 나에게 적용하는 것입니다. 우리 삶의 해법, 오직 예수!     

 

How do we believe in Jesus? Is Jesus being applied like a formula to our lives, to the person, to the problem, to the crisis, to the business, to the relationship, to everyday feelings and emotions? I understand and I do not tolerate .... Are you applying thanksgiving because God has given us a gift? Faith is applying Jesus to me. The solution of our lives, only Jesus!
